Learning and Experiences Student Name PRAC 6552: Advanced Nurse Practice in Reproductive Health Care Practicum Walden University Date Learning and Experiences What did you learn from this experience? The practicum session was very educative as it helped me in applying my skills and knowledge in offering high quality care to the patients. During this session, I worked with different stakeholders and specialists where I learnt a lot on offering competent and holistic care to the patients. One lesson that is critical to me is on cultural competency which came to my interest when I meet a few patients who only understood their native language and realized it was the case for most patients. I was able to learn a few words such as greetings, goodbye and welcome in the native language and I believe that with time I will be able to learn more which made the local community love my services and adhere to the interventions given. What resources did you have available? The location where the health care facility is located has many nongovernmental organizations that have established resources where residents can seek different help depending on the nature of their diseases or disorders.
